Last week we attended the The Scarborough News Business Awards and we're delighted to announce we came away with the Small Business of the Year award.

t's the first time that we entered the category since we won it in 2015 and were shortlisted with some fantastic local businesses. For it to come on the same day as the first Scarborough and Coast Business Day and the day the regions DBID got the go ahead really is testament to the power and quality of Small and Micro-Businesses in the area. We genuinely share this with all of those businesses, particularly those on the shortlist; Dexter’s Surf Shop, Hawkes Health and Fitness, Infiniti Roofing and Michelle Hatton School of Dance & Performing Arts.

It's particularly nice that the University of Hull sponsored the award, half the team studied there and we've had close ties ever since.

Somewhat expectedly we fell short in the Community Business Awards but were happy to be on the short-list alongside good friends Krash Labs and Sirius Minerals with a huge congratulations going to winners Bike About Filey
