Well, what a week. Final numbers are a little sketchy but the fabulous cafes and organisations we've been working with have delivered in excess of 700 meals and £1,200 distributed. The commitment and selflessness shown by each of the companies below and the dozen or so other businesses in the town has blown us away.
All of us here and at Care Improvement Associates, Anglo American, Murphy Utilities and Yay Coffee are proud to work with you.

Although Marcus Rashford has done brilliantly shinging a spotlight on the issue, it's important to remember that child poverty has been a problem for years and will continue to be a problem for years to come. The Scarborough Borough is full of people and organisations working to help every single day of the year. Please continue to help your local food banks, churches and community fridges; they really do need it.
Original Post
This is not a political post. Most people will have seen the vote in Parliament this week whereby the chance to feed kids over the upcoming half-term was unsuccessful.
We think there is a moral obligation here and rather than tweeting about it we felt we should do something.
The brilliant people from Love Brew Cafe in Scarborough (20 Eastborough) have agreed to provide a free lunch of hot soup and a sandwich, to any child who would normally be eligible for a free school meal. This will be every day next week (Week commencing 26th October), Monday to Friday.
Ourselves and CIA Associates have agreed to fund it but if any other businesses want to help please get in touch. Shout out to Mr Keith Dykes too.
