The York, North Yorkshire and East Riding Enterprise Partnership have been set up by the government to help businesses grow and become more competitive. Their existing website provided help and support to small business owners as well as inform public bodies and partners information about the LEP. Following an audit of the content it was decided that the small business advice would be placed elsewhere and we would focus on providing a resource that explains what the LEP is all about and how they can help other business support organisations.

We wanted to create a clean, modern looking website that presented the large amount of information (case studies, reports, funding streams etc.) in an engaging way. We wanted to try and take the website away from others in the sector by using bold colours and subtle animations, providing a simple navigation and use imagery where possible. One of the problems for the LEP is explaining where they operate so the use of interactive maps solves this particular problem and encourages users to interact with the site and find relevant case studies.
