2017: A year in review
In what is fast becoming a yearly tradition (hasn’t this year flown?), it is already time for our end of year review - it’s like Charlie Brooker’s Screenwipe but better.
We started the year with website and print for the Golden Apron competition, the winner of which has their product in Asda just in time for Christmas. This was swiftly followed by the launch of four websites for Museums Ryedale - a project we absolutely loved working on, it isn’t everyday you get to work with roundhouses.
We picked up loads of new business too welcoming, amongst others, Rispin Couture and Ripon Museums to the fold and redesigns for Sweet P Catering, York, North Yorkshire and East Riding LEP and Valley Press.
The year ended very strongly as we secured contracts with Cirrus Research to provide a web app and Coventry University to deliver their Digital Advantage training package. We are very pleased to have secured a key contract although we can’t say anything about that yet so check back in early 2018.
As you may know we like to get involved with things and make things happen outside of the core business too; this year we’ve brought The Royal Shakespeare Company to Scarborough with our Exploring Digital Futures VR conference, sponsored a title winning cricket team and have been named one of the cornerstone employers for the North Yorkshire Opportunity area, sitting alongside Sirius Minerals, Barclays and GCHQ.
Finally, we welcomed Jack to the team this year and what a brilliant addition he’s been, there's no doubt he's taken what we do to the next level. 2018 is already looking good, we can’t wait to see where it takes us.
Richard, Andy, Jack and Dan
p.s. Sorry if we missed anyone!
